About Us

Good News to the nations is a non-denominational Christian ministry involved with evangelism, and counselling with the hope of spreading the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, by ministering to the emotional needs of believers and non-believers in today's troubled times.

History

The Good News Lovelines Crisis Centre was founded on April 2, 2002 after the Director of Good News to the Nations, Ms. Elizabeth Fosu, met the Director of the Love Lines Crisis Center of St Paul's, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Prior to this meeting, which occured during the Amsterdam 2000 conference, Good News to the Nations only did Street Outreach counselling.

Ms. Fosu, a former banker and building contractor accepted the call of the Lord to go into ministry and attented the Amsterdam 2000 Conference where her confidence to do God's work was strengthened. After the contact with Lovelines, Miss Fosu, received training manuals on how to setup and operate a phone-in counselling centre.

After an extensive search for an office space to house the counselling centre, an office lot was secured at the Tema Exhibitions and Industrial Fair Centre, Texpo, Spintex Road, Tema. An appeal was launched to raise funds to rent and furnish the office throughout 2001.

In June 2005, due to a complete overhaul of the Tema Exhibitions and Industrial Fair Centre at Texpo, the Centre had to be moved temporarily to the residence of the Director at Teshie-Nungua Estates.

We believe this is one way to help develop our communities [Deut. 15:11 For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, "You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land; Proverbs 11:14Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety ; Rom. 15:25-27 25But now, I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints. 26For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem. 27It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in material things ; I John 3:16-18 16 By this we know love because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this world;s goods and sees his brother in meed, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 18My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth 19And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our heats before Him.].
