Transportation

In Ghana where the public transport system, which we use extensively, is unreliable, transportation often becomes a barrier. As a result, missionary trips into the hinterland become unnecessarily difficult to undertake since some of the towns we set-out to preach in are visited by a motor vehicle only once a week. We need help to procure a small van to carry the evangelists and missionaries into these barely accessible small towns and villages.

Rehabilitation Programme for the Former Street Dwellers

At the moment we do not have a comprehensive program that caters for the saved street-dwellers. Although we trust the Lord to grant the new converts grace to grow in faith, we would also like to put in place a meaningful rehabilitation programme that would assist the unemployed homeless people we witness to by teaching them a trade, for instance, so that they can make a livelihood and thus live dignified lives. We therefore need help in setting up and running a structured rehabilitation programme. Help can be in the form or funding and/or partnership with charitable and for-profit organisations with the expertise in helping unemployed street-dwellers in regaining employment and ultimate self-sustenance.

Film-screening Equipment

Our screenings of Biblical movies are great successes and often end in people giving their lives to Christ. However, te rental cost of these equipment often makes it impossible for us to capitalise on the popularity of this method to bring even more souls to Christ. In this regard we look forward to acquiring a portable, low-maintenance set of video screening equipment so that we can launch out as often as needed to make haste with the harvest of perishing souls. Gospel Literature including Bibles

Our distribution of Christian literature has garnered great interest from people we witness to. Furthermore, when we leave such literature in public places we are able to affect people who might be seeking the truth but unsure about speaking to evangelists. We however, have a never-ending shortage of literature to distribute due to our limited financial resources and support. Some of the literature we distribute include Bibles (NIV, KJV and NKJV), New Testament Bibles from Gideons International and tracts by Chick Publications

Financial Sponsorship of the Ministry

Running on the charitable donations of philanthropic Christians, Good News to the Nations, Inc., still continues to come up with interesting and effective new ways to reach the hurting and lost with the Gospel. Unfortunately, many of these methods remain on the drawing board because of lack of funding. One such project worth mentioning is the plan to broadcast sermons over medium and short-wave frequencies to those in the hinterlands who rarely have access to FM radio transmissions. We need a short-wave transmitter, so that we can obtain broadcasting permission from the Ghanaian Frequency Control Board to begin this project. Any help or partnership in this regard will be truly appreciated both by our ministry and those who will benefit from hearing the word of God. In the long term, we will use advertising to fund the running cost of this project.

Advertising

After a short stint of massively advertising the Telephone Counseling Service at the Crisis Centre, we were amazed at the flurry of phone calls from hurting people looking for therapy based on sound Christian principles. We fervently hope to garner enough support to be able to advertise this service more so that many who are in pain because of spiritual ignorance will begin experiencing their healing. For lack of knowledge my people perish. [Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge I also will reject you from being priest for me. Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.].

Getting Volunteers

We are constantly in need of volunteers to act as Counselor trainees, grass-roots contacts, Crusades organisers, intercessors, and evangelists. We welcome anyone who would like to lend this ministry a hand to bring the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ into the lives of others.
